Free Weight Clinic for Pets
We are now offering a free weight clinic for your pets.
Overweight animals have shorter life spans and are at higher risk for serious health problems, so we felt it was important to provide support for our patients.
Although some animals are overweight because of medical problems, there are many other factors that cause our pets to weigh more than they should.
Our weight clinic will:
-Teach you to assess your pet's body condition score
-Calculate your pet's ideal calorie requirement and target weight
-Evaluate your pet's food and feeding habits
-Determine what factors could be contributing to your pet's excess weight
-Help you set and achieve realistic weight loss goals for your pet over time
-Assess whether or not your pet is a candidate for a prescription weight loss drug
-Look for clues that might suggest an underlying medical problem
